Today I’m going to show you how to add an editor to your YouTube channel.
If you want somebody else to manage your channel, upload, or edit your videos, you don’t have to give them your Google password.
Instead, follow this best practice below, and securely add them to your account.

- First, go to youtube.com and navigate to your channel.
- Click on either Customize Channel or Manage Videos.
This will take you to YouTube Studio.
3. Look at the bottom left-hand corner and click Settings.
4. In the Settings pop-up window, select Permissions, then Manage permissions.
5. Now you are on the Brand Account details page. Click Manage Permissions again.
6. It might prompt you to log in to verify your identity.
Once verified, click the Manage Permissions button.
7. A pop-up window will appear. Here you can delete existing managers or add new users.
Let’s click Invite new user – the person icon at the top right corner.
8, On the new “Add new users” popup window, enter their email address – it will likely need to be a Gmail address.
9. Click the Choose a role drop-down and select a role like Manager or Communications manager, depending on your needs.
Then click Invite.
10. Now you can click Done and close the window.
Now you’ve done your part. The person who has been invited will receive an email that looks like this.
All they have to do is click Accept Invitation.
And now they can manage your YouTube channel.
